Fast-paced Death’s Flow will capture the imagination of fantasy lovers.  Victor Klayin’s adventure fiction flows with suspense, action, and mystery.  Magic and mass murder keep the reader turning pages through the slaughter of citizens by flaming zombies while the hero, Zaleck tries to survive.

The unknown time period and the mysterious setting in the fictional Kingdom of Ayrn add to the tensions, as do the use of medieval weapons, swords, and daggers. Zaleck is an albino teenager who farmer parents raised in a tiny obscure village.  The opening pages of this story find Zaleck bound, gagged, and drugged in a prison wagon. He has no idea what has happened to him or his parents or why he was kidnapped. Drifting in and out of consciousness, he contemplates his fate.

Fate provides his rescue by a master scholar with magical talents, Arneth, and a lovely but murderous markswoman, Vellis.  All three of these remarkable characters exhibit strange, magical talents.  They bond to survive the return of their captors and to discover why the nobility and high priest want to capture Zaleck and kill his friends.

As Zaleck worries about returning home to his parents, he discovers untrained mental talents that cause devastating deaths.  He unleashes a profound power that inflames a ship, the sailors, and soldiers, turning them into undying flaming zombies that cause mass hysteria. The trio are forced to share their private backstories and learn to work together.  As their trust in one another develops, they recognize that they can’t outrun the consequences of their past choices.

The author has created a world that is full of darkness, depravity, and conflict. The characters impart hope and trust in their relationships while they bond to protect the citizens from political powers and devastation.  Expect to be mesmerized by the expeditious pace and bloody encounters.
