Born and grew up in a small Nepalis hamlet, Bhanjang Basti via Mahadev Tilla, just a few kilometres of Haflong, the district headquarters of North Cachar Hills, India, Rishikesh Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor, researcher, and author. He loves learning and teaching to expand his horizons and ideas. Rishikesh Upadhyay has a PhD and MPhil of Plant Environmental Physiology and has over eleven years of classroom experience. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and books in the fields of plant environmental physiology and environmental stressors response in plants. Dr. Upadhyay is a recipient of the UGC Research Fellowship award, Albert Nelson Lifetime Achievement award, Elsevier Science Reviewer Recognition award, etc. Much of his work is confined to teaching and researching physio-biochemical and environmental stress responses in plants.
