About the author:



The Partnership is a legal thriller set against a power struggle at the nation’s most lucrative law firm. Its author, Steven J. Harper, is an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s School of Law and its Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. He is a contributing writer to The American Lawyer (Am Law Daily) and the author of two non-fiction books: Crossing Hoffa: A Teamster’s Story (named by the Chicago Tribune one of the “Best Books of the Year”) and Straddling Worlds: The Jewish-American Journey of Professor Richard W. Leopold. The Partnership is his first novel, Steve knows something about the subject of his latest book. He recently retired after twenty-five years as a litigation partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been included in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America. He joined the firm after graduating from Harvard Law School magna cum laude. Prior to attending Harvard, he received combined B.A./M.A. degrees in economics (with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa) from Northwestern University.
