Kathy Welton

Kathleen is dedicated to sharing inspiring stories where dreams take flight. Her creative vision is fueled by a lifelong passion for books and publishing as well as a deep commitment to literacy and sustainability. Her book publishing career includes key executive and editorial roles from Senior Editor for Dow Jones-Irwin and Publisher for Dearborn Trade to Vice President & Publisher for IDG Books and Director of Book Publishing for the American Bar Association. She also served as a Director for H&R Block and as a Book Producer for AKA Books. She began her publishing career as a college textbook sales representative. Kathleen is a graduate of Stanford University with a B.A. in English and Italian Literature and is a member of the National Italian Honor Society Gamma Kappa Alpha. She earned a Feature Film Writing Certificate with Distinction from UCLA Extension and is a Chopra Certified Meditation Instructor as well as a Certified Meditation Coach & Facilitator. She is currently working on a new novel as well as a picture book inspired by her cats and her meditation practice.
