 Elaine McGinlay is the Development Education Officer at SCIAF, where she has worked for over twelve years. SCIAF is the official aid and development agency of the Catholic Church in Scotland, working across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, to support some of the world's poorest people. Elaine wrote The Wisdom of the River while completing her MA in Global Learning at University College London, bringing together her academic work on educational practice and her commitment to the formation of young people who will learn, pray and act for a better world. Elaine hopes the book will support learning in families and classrooms?inviting readers to read aloud, try different routes, and discover the wisdom waiting on each page. |
