About the author:



Christian Thompson's poems, essays, and short fiction have appeared in The American Poetry Review, The Kenyon Review Online, The Amherst Review, Appalachia, Caveat Lector, The Aurorean, and other journals. His essay, "A Science of Subjectivity," which first appeared in the 2009 Nov./Dec. issue of The American Poetry Review was selected for inclusion in Twentieth Century Literary Criticism, Vol. 272, 2013. He was a finalist in the 2002 Center for Book Arts Poetry Chapbook Competition and an earlier version of his book of poems, "Low Growth," published by WordTech Communications, LLC through its imprint Word Poetry Press in Nov. 2013, was awarded the distinction of "Other Remarkable Work" in the 2012 Tupelo Press Open Reading Contest. A novella, "An Invisible River," is a Kindle book written by Christian Thompson available on Amazon. He is the Literary Executor of the Estate of Hayden Carruth, one of the most important and influential poets and critics of the 20th century.
