The mistress leaves behind a baby and a diary. 2005 Ivy Cohen (the baby) has a college degree and an obsession with finding out who murdered her mother. She feels that if she can find her father she will have also found her mother's murderer. Ivy makes her way to America (Maryland) and goes to work for bookstore owners Dan and Rivka Sherman. Here begins the suspense, danger and action. The Sherman's begin their walk with Ivy to try and unravel the murder--little did they know they would become entangled in much more. There are four families that could be relatives of Ivy's and that in itself spells trouble. Death Takes a Mistress is a very good read that will keep you interested and sleuthing from beginning to end. You will immerse yourself in the clues and happenings--ever trying to solve the questions--who is Ivy's father and what is with these four families. Get ready to enjoy this book!!
